Lighting - General
With our experience and knowledge we can choose the best combination of lighting options.
In retail environments, we can raise light levels throughout all selling areas and still reduce operating expenses by as much as 45%.
Our goal is to develop cost effective, positive lighting environments designed around a range of criteria, including:
* maintained illumination
* colour rendition
* product efficiency
* image clarity
Energy Saving
Lighting can be a company’s single highest expense averaging 40-50% of your total electricity bill.
Simple things are sometimes the most effective...energy saving lights bulbs and high frequency lighting, the latter using 20% less energy than normal fittings.
Infra red detectors can be fitted to areas where there is infrequent use, time lag switches can be used where access is required for short periods.
By simply replacing your existing 38mm fluorescent tubes with 26mm you will use less energy.
Emergency lighting
As mains electrical supplies are often disrupted in a fire, emergency lighting is essential. The key design consideration is to provide adequate lighting levels on exit routes using "maintained" or "non-maintained" fittings. Both types incorporate back up batteries to ensure illumination.
Emergency lighting systems need to be inspected, tested and certificated periodically by law.
Outdoor Lighting
duport Services offer a wide range of products; we can provide practical solutions for all lighting situations, from imbedded lighting within footpaths or car parks, to the standard floodlights, incorporating timer switches or photo electric cells.
UPS
Uninterrupted Power Supplies are now becoming a necessity to protect our IT departments. In the event of a mains failure they will provide power either until the mains supply returns or will enable a controlled shutdown of equipment. UPS’s are available in varying sizes, from one to power an individual computer to one which will power your corporate head quarters.
