AIR CONDITIONING
Comfort Cooling
Our experienced air conditioning engineers will calculate the heat gains emitted from people, windows, lighting and any electrical equipment, and forward a quotation recommending the size, make and design of the unit required.
Indoor units come in wall, window, ceiling and floor mounted versions. The indoor units have come a long way in terms of energy efficiency and design and can blend in with most modern offices, shop, and restaurants; with decorative panels now available in a wide variety of colours and finishes, from block colour to mirrored fronts or art work designs. Units are also remote controlled and can come in reverse cycle heat pump versions which will also give you a source of very cheap heating in the colder months.
The condensing units (outdoor units) are installed either on an outside wall or a flat roof, and are connected to the indoor unit by electrical cable and refrigerant pipe work.
VRV/VRF Multi Systems
This system is one of today's most advanced forms of air conditioning. It can allow up to sixteen individual indoor units of differing styles to be connected to one outdoor unit. So less space is required for outdoor units and there is also a reduction in pipework.
The Heat Recovery model is ideal for rooms with a permanent cooling requirement, such as computer suites. The system can utilise the excess heat and transfer it to rooms on the system that require heating, saving on the compressor running costs, and providing a very cost effective form of heating.
Close Control
Close Control air conditioning systems are used in environments like clean rooms and computer rooms where the temperature should be kept within + or -2°C of the set temperature and humidification needs to be kept to a minimum. We can supply these units in a range of capacities between 5kw and 80kw.
Energy Saving
Most reputable air conditioning manufacturers now adopt Energy Rating Labels. Manufacturers have to submit their products to be tested and certified. This label tells you the efficiency of the model with regards to its energy consumption from A (being the most efficient) to G.
Central controllers now have a wealth of uses; these can be used on multiple installations such as the VRV systems. You can now not only alter the temperature of each system individually, but monitor the power used by one unit or as a whole system shutting down units as and when required.
Inverter driven heat pumps use 30% less energy than non invert equivalents.
Inverter models are on the energy technology list and qualify for 100% first year enhanced capital allowance (whole system cost), we can advise you on which models are on this list or for further information go to www.eca.gov.uk
It is always worth remembering that a well maintained and cleaned unit will always be more energy efficient.
Mobile Air Conditioning Units
Mobile units should only be used for spot cooling in small areas with a short term heat problem. These units also need to be sized.
Service & Maintenance
We have a service and maintenance team which cover most of the United Kingdom.
As with any mechanical equipment, air conditioning and ventilation systems require regular maintenance to ensure their efficient running and maximise their life expectancy.
